I can’t wait to see you in August! Sincerely, Ms. Marquart

An email with directions on how set up a St. Gregory email will be sent to your parents email address. Please follow these directions to create an email with a St. Gregory domain. ** Note: You only have 24 hours to create the account once you have received the email
You will need this email address beginning the first week of school so it is important you create it before the first day!
After you have created your email account practice sending an email to Ms. Marquart so I know you have completed this task and can use your email to start creating the accounts you will need for the year.
Send the email to the following address: [email protected]. Your email should answer the following questions:
What is your name?
What are three things you enjoy? (movie, sport, food, animal, etc.)
What your favorite memory of school so far?
What are you most excited about in fourth grade? What are you most nervous about? Why?
Create one academic goal for yourself that you believe you can accomplish the goal in one year. It can relate to grades, STAR scores, AR level, number of books read, math facts memorized, organization, responsibility, etc. What is that goal?
Math Homework
Your math homework this summer will be online with Khan Academy. We will be using Khan Academy throughout the 2018-2019 school year so this is a great chance to get familiar with it! You have been assigned about 140 math assignments that review concepts from third grade to ensure you have a strong foundation for fourth grade. The 140 assignments include video instruction, practice problems, and quizzes. Please note you must receive Level Two or Mastered on each skill to earn credit. If you score below this level, please use the extra practice option before retaking the quiz. It is important that you have these skills mastered so that we can build on them in fourth grade math. We have 58 days of summer this year, if you complete 3-4 assignments a day excluding weekends you will be done in no time! Completing 3-4 assignments each day should take about 15-30 minutes depending on the concept you are practicing. I will be able to see your progress throughout our online class, which means you will not need to turn anything into me at school to receive credit. Additionally, if you have not started the homework by August 1st, I will be contacting you to ensure it is completed.
